Abstract:Since 2020, local and international trade, foreign direct investment (FDI), multinational companies, and the global economy have been facing significant challenges due to the pandemic and the sudden emergence of the war between Russia and Ukraine. In the wake of the invasion in February 2022, these two events have prompted a range of reactions worldwide from policymakers, governments, and other interested stakeholders (Singh, 2022).\nThe present study examines the impact of the Russo-Ukrainian war on foreign direct investment (FDI) and trade relations between countries. These two countries engage in trade with a multitude of states and regions, primarily the European Union (EU), numerous African, Asian, and even American countries, which the ongoing war may have significantly affected. The significance of Russia and Ukraine in the context of global trade relations, supply chains, and foreign direct investment (FDI) is a key theoretical and empirical motivation of this study. |
