Having knowledge of climate change and its impacts on agriculture is essential for survival of the world and to fulfill the growing food demand. Therefore, university graduates as future agricultural experts should have sufficient knowledge on climate change and its impacts on agriculture. This study aimed to determine knowledge levels of candidate graduates on climate change and its impacts on agricultural sector and to examine the factors influencing their knowledge levels. The data was collected via a face-to-face survey with 506 students from 16 agricultural economics department in Turkey. The knowledge of climate change and its impacts on agriculture were determined through a five-point Likert scale. Ordered probit model was used to analyze the factors affecting knowledge level of students. The results of the study revealed that the candidate graduate students in the agriculture economics departments had intermediate knowledge level on climate change and its effects on agriculture. Probit model results showed that gender, climate change knowledge from university and number of sufficient academic staffs had positive effects on the knowledge level of climate change and its effects. The departments of agriculture economics should put more compulsory courses on climate change in their undergraduate program curriculums and employ more specialized academic staff on climate change in order to increase the students’ knowledge on climate change and its effects on agriculture.

This paper applies organizational justice theory in the teacher selection process and analyzes interview method in a centralized, very heavy competitive condition, and non-autonomous selection process. Using a sample of 146 teacher applicants who took a nationwide teacher selection interview in Turkey, this study examined the perceived fairness of procedural, distributive and interactional justice in the teacher selection process. Regression analysis indicated that procedural justice, interactional justice, public personnel selection exam score, interview score, being hired, gender, and branch variables have a significant relationship with distributive justice perceptions. In both quantitative and qualitative findings, participants’ fairness perceptions with regard to interview method were found very low. According to study findings, the interview method for teacher selection was perceived as unjust and unfair, it generates an influential contact and favoritism, ignores their labors and efforts by simply disqualifying most candidates, and has poor reliability and validity structure. The paper discusses some limitations of the interview method given the context of politically polarized societies and collectivist cultures.

El análisis estadístico de datos biológicos es una necesidad para que las conclusiones sean aceptadas por la comunidad científica. Por esta razón, cualquier estudio, experimento, muestreo biológico, etc., requiere un análisis estadístico de los datos. A pesar de que esto es una necesidad, para los biólogos y otros investigadores, la realización de este análisis es un reto difícil y no se realiza siempre de la mejor manera sin la ayuda de un estadístico. Acá se presentan reflexiones, aclaraciones y una guía general para la realización del análisis estadístico de datos biológicos con métodos estadísticos básico que están incluidos en los cursos básicos de bioestadística de cualquier programa curricular de biología y carreras afines. No se abarcan análisis que no hacen parte de los cursos básicos de bioestadística. Este artículo pretende recopilar y complementar los conocimientos presentados en textos y cursos básicos sobre el tema.

Background:The trend of tattoos increases day-by-day in many of the countries but unfortunately there is no evaluation of this practice in Pakistan.Objective:Our motive of research is to evaluate the relation of tattoos with disease conditions and reasons for adaptation of tattoos in Pakistan.Introduction:The term tattoo comes from \'Tahitian\' which is the art of making colourful designs beneath the skin. There are different types of tattoos with different colour of inks. This practice is done for many reasons including fashion, beauty, to hide skin marks, addiction to pain, to memorize something or due to any personal reasons. Some people hide their tattoos due to some restrictions. Tattooed people may face restriction in jobs. They may cause different type of skin infections and other medical conditions.Methodology:The data was collected by online interviews and face-to-face interactions with participants and tattoo artists. All the participants (N=181) with permanent tattoos were asked about different questions regarding age, gender, motivations for being tattooed, opinions and side effects following tattooing etc.Results:According to our study tattooing is more common among males (74.03%) as compare to females (25.96%). The highest motivation of being tattooed was found to be fashion (31.57%) and beauty (36.31%). Greater number of participants considered tattooing as harmless (66%) and less considered it as harmful (28%), while few (N=6%) consider that it may be harmless or may be harmful. The most common side effect experienced by participants was inflammation (23.36%) and then allergy (11.41%) but majority of the participants did not experience any severe side effects. People belonging to any occupation were equally influenced by tattooing but it is more common in teenagers.Conclusion:In Pakistan, tattoos trend seems to be increasing day-by-day. Most people regardless of age, occupation, religion and side effects got tattoos because of fashion and beauty and there were no severe side effects of tattooing in Pakistan.

This study investigated teaching practices that may enhance inclusive teaching and learning in adult education and training institutions in Gauteng, South Africa. This interpretative-qualitative study adopted participatory action research as a research design within which data were collected using qualitative data collection methods, such as semi-structured interviews, participant observations, and documentary analysis and focus group interviews. Data were analysed through group interpretative and inductive content analysis. In this study several findings are indicated and recommendations made regarding inclusive teaching and learning practices in adult education centres within South African education context.

The article is devoted to the problem of defining the phenomenon of virtual communication, which plays the role of the dominant connection tool of the information society era. The article focuses on identifying current trends and the development of distance-nominal connections of virtual communication: continuity of the flow of virtual communication, increasing attention to the manifestation of self, weakening emotional connection, forming new types of dependencies, simulating relationships and loss of trust in people, transfer of virtualization to real life, etc. The author reveals the main features and characteristics of ethics and ethical principles of virtual communication, reveals their benefits and risks for man and society.
